Construction of the new Neepawa Health Centre continues, with heavy focus on building out the interior clinical and public spaces. Framing and drywall work is ongoing in many areas, and most of the major mechanical building equipment has been installed.
Mechanical and electrical rough in work continues, and electrical contractors have begun pulling wiring and data cables in some areas. The interior spaces will be finished in phases, with some areas 60% complete while others areas are just beginning, in order to keep trades organized and following each other.
There are approximately 200-250 tradespeople working at the site daily, which will continue to increase.
Landscaping, roadways, and parking area work continues with spring and summer temperatures warming up. The building itself is almost completely clad with finish materials, with only trim areas remaining. Outbuildings such as the facility storage garage and emergency generator building cladding are nearing complete as well.
Construction is still on track to turn the building over to PMH in 2026, with the first patient seen in 2027.
