Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute (PAMI) will be celebrating a landmark achievement.

On Thursday, June 26, PAMI will be celebrating their 50th anniversary. The community is invited to join PAMI with an open house along with demonstrations that will take place throughout the day.

Marketing Manager Candice Bauer explains one of the demonstrations will be a FOPS test, FOPS meaning fallen object protective structure test, which is something PAMI did when they first opened 50 years ago, and that starts at 11:30 am.

Since its inception, PAMI has been an engineering services company that helps businesses and entrepreneurs research and prototype and test their products for the market.

A highlight for the 50th Anniversary celebrations will be the unveiling of the metal art structure in conjunction with the Humboldt Public Arts that was designed by Tyler Dies and will be located at PAMI.

Bauer says the art structure will be a welcome addition.

“We (PAMI) feel that this structure is going to be incredibly significant in Humboldt, an area it reflects the history of manufacturing and agriculture, and Humboldt and the Iron Triangle. It celebrates exactly who PAMI is.”

Also, at the open house, food trucks will be on site.
