The East Central 18U AAA Red Sox snapped a three-game losing skid with an 8-6 win over the Saskatoon Giants on Wednesday.
Jarret Rude led the Red Sox at the plate with three hits on the night while Jaxon Schleper drove in a pair of runs.
It was a back-and-forth game between the two squads with the Giants opening the scoring in the third inning.
The Red Sox tied the game in the fourth inning thanks to a Blake Morelli RBI.
In the sixth inning, the Red Sox jumped ahead, scoring five runs with four hits. The Giants responded with three runs in the bottom of the inning.
Both teams scored a pair of runs in the seventh inning to make the final 8-6.
Dayne Schommer got the win, pitching six innings allowing six hits, one earned run and three strikeouts.
Next action for the Red Sox will be on Saturday as they venture down to the Queen City and meet the Regina Wolfpack for a doubleheader.
