Cochrane lifts fire restrictions as rain moves in

The Town of Cochrane has lifted all fire restrictions as of 9 a.m. today.

Fire officials say weather conditions have improved enough to remove the restrictions, which were put in place during drier conditions.

A rainfall warning is in effect for Cochrane and west Rocky View County, with 40 to 80 millimetres of rain expected by Saturday evening.
