The Weyburn Police Service received a report of mischief wherein someone dressed in all black was seen slashing vehicle and trailer tires on June 12th.
Deputy Chief Shane St. John said a total of five tires were damaged, but no suspect was able to be identified.
"You don't know if it's a personal thing or if it's someone just starting to do it, so it's more of a public awareness that if you see anything suspicious, of course call us."
"Doing damage to other peoples' property definitely puts the other person out of a lot of time and money and is very upsetting," he noted. "So hopefully we get to the bottom of this one, and if anyone knows, then please let us know."
St. John said he hopes this won't become an ongoing issue.
"You can't fix a tire like that, right? There's no fixing it, so it's a considerable cost as well."
The matter is still under investigation.
