Community mourns loss of Owen Bedford after tragic discovery

'We are deeply saddened to confirm that the body of 18-year-old Owen Bedford, who was previously reported missing, has been found in the river. His identity has been formally confirmed,' states the Brandon Police Service social media page.

'At this time, our thoughts are with Owen’s family and friends as they navigate this incredibly difficult and painful time. We extend our deepest sympathies and stand with them in their grief.'
