The Killarney Community Events Outdoor Concert Committee is ramping up for their annual Kick Off to Summer outdoor concert, known locally as the town's event of the year.
Canadian country superstar Jade Eagleson and country favorite Steven Lee Olsen will be taking the stage come Saturday, July 5th at the Kick-Off to Summer concert in Killarney next year.
The 2025 outdoor concert is the fourth annual summer event for the Killarney Community Events Committee which has hosted big names like The Hunter Brothers, The Reklaws, and Brett Kissell.
Earlier this month Tourism Westman awarded this event as the official Event of the Year for the Westman Region with a budget over $10,000 at their Tribute to Tourism Awards Gala.
"It’s funny—we’re a pretty humble group of people," shares committee chair, Ryan Heinrich. "We don’t do this for recognition; we do it because we care about our community. Our goal has always been to support our user groups and raise money in a way that’s fun and fulfilling. Honestly, it doesn’t even feel like work most of the time."
Heinrichs says to be nominated for an award like this is incredibly humbling. "It means a lot to us, even though our focus has always been on asking, “What more can we do for our community?”
Now in its 4th year the KCEC has organized to coordinate the presentation of annual community concerts in support of multiple local non-profit agencies. With crowds in excess of 3500 the concerts have generated close to $48,000 in community revenues which are distributed among community organizations that have volunteered their time leading up and volunteering on concert day.
"We've got such a great group of volunteers," adds Heinrichs. "You know, this is our, I believe this is our 4th year now and I think just about every user group that's been involved in this production, and they have stayed on board with us. The other benefit is we really rely on their input and their feedback and to try and improve things, not only for them to make their day a little bit easier and allow them to enjoy the concert a little bit, but also just to just to streamline things and make it a little bit easier for everybody."

Tickets are available at the Killarney Shamrock Centre and Event Brite for the Jade Eagleson outdoor concert. From June 1-July 4th tickets are $65/ticket. After that, gate price is $75.
