After three weeks of sales, 50/50 for Kids, presented by Don's Plumbing and Heating, has officially come to a close.
This year's jackpot total was $23,440. Half of those sales, $11,720, went to The Family Place, with the other half going to one lucky ticket holder.
"We had a great three weeks selling tickets out in the community," said Dawn Gutzke, Executive Director of The Family Place. "Thanks to everyone who bought tickets, thanks to everyone who came out, and a big thank you to our local radio station crew for doing this fundraiser for us for many, many years. It's really made a huge impact in our mission at The Family Place, and we just appreciate it so much."
With that, it was time for the draw. Sgt. Riley Ross from the Weyburn Police Service joined us at the station for the Grand Prize moment.
A huge thank you to the sponsors that hosted us over the past three weeks, Sholter Horsman, Quality Plumbing and Heating, Great Plains Ford, Weyburn Credit Union, E. Bourassa and Sons, Pumpjacks, Canadian Tire, and, of course, Don's Plumbing and Heating.
Another huge thank you to everyone who bought tickets and showed their support, and a giant congratulations to Renae Stephanson, this year's Grand Prize Winner.
We're not 100% done just yet. Tune into Magic 103 and Country 106 tomorrow morning for a HUGE announcement from The Family Place.
