At the Rocky View Schools Board of Trustees meeting last week, the board extended their deepest appreciation to Superintendent Greg Luterbach at his final public board meeting.
"Over the past nine years, Superintendent Luterbach has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, marked by unwavering commitment to students, deep respect for staff and a steady hand through times of growth and change," shared RVS.
The school division also shared that his leadership has been grounded in integrity, humility and a people-first approach that has made a lasting and meaningful impact across RVS.
"Superintendent Luterbach leaves behind a legacy defined by care, conviction and kindness – one that will continue to positively influence the lives of students, staff and communities for years to come."
The board congratulates Superintendent Luterbach on an outstanding career and thanks him for his exceptional service, while wishing him all the best in the next chapter of his journey.
To support a smooth leadership transition and a strong and successful start to the 2025/26 school year, the board has adjusted the official start date for the new incoming Superintendent.
Ryan Reed will officially assume the role of Superintendent of Schools as of August 18, 2025, shared RVS.
"At that time, Greg Luterbach will move to a transitional support role until his retirement on August 31."
Since re-joining RVS in 2016, Superintendent Luterbach has led the division’s growing team of over 3,000 staff, maintaining a steadfast focus on providing the best possible learning experience for RVS students.
