The CCA Rodeo returns to southwest Saskatchewan this week for an iconic annual Frontier Days rodeo that's sure to bring in the spirit of the wild west.

The Plewis Automotive Group CCA Rodeo is set to take place at the Kinetic Exhibition Park's Magnus Area in Swift Current with nearly a dozen events beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

John Uglem, rodeo director, shared that the 4th Barrel Beer Gardens will also be open during each rodeo, and they might have slack on Saturday at 9:00 a.m., but it isn't confirmed.

"It's going really good, I think we're just ready to get going," he said. "I honestly think some of the best athletes around are going to be coming, you see local guys and guys from all over the place."

Rodeo events will include;

Saddle bronc,
Bull riding,
Bareback,
Steer wrestling,
Barrel racing,
Tie-down roping,
Breakaway roping,
Team roping,
Junior barrels, and
Junior steer riding.

"Everyone, please come on out and support your local rodeo," Uglem added.

Admission is $10 per person, and children ages 12 and under get in for free. For more information, visit the Swift Current Ag & Ex website.
