Lacombe County has updated its Dog Control Bylaw to include the Designation of Prohibited Areas, allowing us to restrict dogs from certain public spaces.
Effective immediately, dogs are not permitted (leashed or otherwise) on the beach at Sandy Point. This change was made to help ensure the beach remains a safe, clean, and enjoyable space for all users. This restriction does not apply to guide or service dogs.
Dogs are still welcome on the trails, in the parking lot, and in the green spaces surrounding the beach. Please help us ensure our parks and green spaces are clean and pick up after your pets.
Help us maintain a respectful and safe environment for everyone. Learn more at: www.lacombecounty.com/dogcontrol.
