The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) released an update on the wildfire situation in northern Saskatchewan on Wednesday.  

As of 2:00 pm, there are 19 active wildfires in the province. Of those active wildfires, two are categorized, five are not contained, nine are ongoing assessments, and three are listed as protecting values. 

The community of East Trout Lake remains under evacuation orders along with priority individuals from Creighton and Denare Beach. Priority individuals from Cumberland House have been repatriated. 

Over $4 million has been transferred directly to residents as well as communities that are distributing the $500 Government of Saskatchewan Financial Assistance to their residents that have been impacted by the wildfires.
