Have Your say on the future of Airdrie Transit

Only a few days remain for Airdronians to have their say on the Airdrie Transit Master Plan.

Billie-Jo Arnott, Team Lader for Airdrie Transit explained residents have until June 30 to fill it out.

"As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance transit services in Airdrie and the surrounding region, we are excited to announce the development of a comprehensive transit master plan."

She went on to explain that this plan will be designed to improve transit service by establishing a strategy for a coordinated public transit system.

"The plan will guide service, planning, decisions, policy development and resource needs for the next 10 years.

The last plan that was created was in 2016. If you would like to provide your feedback and answer the survey, click HERE.

"The master plan covers everything from schedules, fare strategies, routes and services, you name it, It's in there. It's everything from local services to regional services as well."

She concluded by once again asking residents to please take to time to fill out the survey as it will help shape the future of Airdrie Transit.

Once the survey has concluded, from July to August, a draft for the future transit network will be created with another round of public engagement in the fall.
