Promising news from Environment and Climate Change Canada as we continue through Frontier Days in Swift Current.
"I guess the good news for you is (thunderstorm systems) should be continuing east with time," said meteorologist Crawford Luke. "It looks like today is going to be more of an issue for further east of you kind of like Moose Jaw and Regina especially."
That's a similar story for the rest of the week as well.
"We're going to continue to see thunderstorms in the eastern part of the province pretty much through Saturday," Luke said. "Swift Current is most likely going to be west of that, and it should be mostly a sunny couple days for you there. You might end up on the edge of this risk as well. We'll have to see how it plays out."
Environment and Climate Change Canada forecasts a 30% chance of showers tonight with the risk of a thunderstorm.
