The City of Moose Jaw has provided another update on this year's Infrastructure Renewal Program, and it includes the long-awaited reopening of the intersection at the 0 block of Fairford Street W and 1st Avenue NW.
The intersection will be open today, weather permitting, as will the bus stop located at 1st Avenue NW and Fairford Street W. However, work is continuing on the 100 and 200 blocks of Fairford Street W. As such, the intersection at 2nd Avenue NW will remain closed until further notice.
Crews are continuing their work on 4th Avenue SW from Duffield to Coteau Street W, and the intersections along 4th Avenue at those locations remain closed. Contractors are also continuing work on 6th Avenue SW from Grandview to Coteau Street, although the intersections of Coteau, Duffield, and Grandview are still open.
Work also continues on Coteau Street W from 4th avenue Sw to 5th Avenue SW and the 4th Avenue SW intersection is closed, with the 5th Avenue SW intersection to remain open until a later date.
Additionally, Westmount route #4 bus stops on Duffield Street W at 5th and 4th Avenue SW remain closed. The east and westbound stops on Coteau Street W and 4th Avenue SW will be closed. Signage posted at the affected bus stops will direct commuters to the nearest available stop.
