Unlike last weekend, it's going to be sunny all weekend, giving people a chance to get outdoors.

Let's take a look to see what's happening in the Foothills this weekend:

Friday, June 27:

Over at the Environmental Education Centre, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., curious kids will learn all about bears as part of their Nature Fridays. They will dive into bear facts and learn about the bears that call Canada home.

The Okotoks Farmers Market will be at the Viking Rentals Centre from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., and there will be fresh food and treats.

Friday nights are Youth Night at the Okotoks Rec Centre, where youth aged 12 to 18 are able to head over to the Rec Centre and enjoy the pool and gymnasium until 10 p.m. The Youth Centre will be available to them until 11 p.m., and it's free for them to attend.

The Okotoks Dawgs will be hosting the Weyburn Beavers at Seaman Stadium this weekend, and the first pitch for the game tonight will be thrown at 7:05 p.m.

Saturday, June 28:

In Longview, the Longview Country Market is kicking off for the summer, running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. across from the Longview Elementary School.

At the High River Rodeo Grounds, there will be a Medieval Faire & Tournament, where people will compete in a combat tournament. This year there will also be jousters.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in High River, the Carstar High River Soaps It up! Charity Car Wash is happening, which will raise money for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

At the Okotoks Elks Club, they host a meat draw and perogy lunch, with the food being served at noon. Kids are welcome.

At Yooneek Books in Okotoks, there will be a book signing by local author, Lorna Stuber from 1 to 3 p.m.

Over at Seaman Stadium, the Dawgs will be taking on the Weyburn Beavers, with first pitch happening at 7:05 p.m.

The High River Rodeo Grounds will be home to a Medieval Faire all weekend.

There are also numerous Canada Day festivities happening in various communities in the Foothills on Tuesday, July 1.
