In a display of community pride, Claresholm residents are coming together to add colour and creativity to Amundsen Park.

Residents have been helping to paint the "We Are Community" Mural during Tuesday in the Park events.

“The community spirit was strong. It was heartwarming to see people of all ages come together to help bring the mural to life,” the Town said in a Facebook post. “It’s a true testament to what makes our town special: we show up, we support each other, and we work together.”

Amundsen Park is a space that brings the community together, with picnics, live music, events, markets, fundraisers, and celebrations.

“It’s a place where friendships are built, unity is strengthened, and connections are made,” the Town said.

While the project isn’t quite finished, the town is moving into Phase 3, which is shading and final touches.

“This mural is a symbol of what happens when we all come together to create something meaningful,” the Town said.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to use the mural as a gathering spot throughout the summer.

“We love seeing this park come to life all summer long—and we love that you’re using it,” the town said. “Here’s to a summer full of sunshine, connection, and community spirit.”
