On draft day when the NHL journey begins for hundreds of players, former Swift Current Broncos goaltender Joel Hofer is continuing his with the St. Louis Blues.
He inked a two-year extension with the Blues worth $6.8 million.
The 24-year-old went 16-8-3 in 2024-25 with a .04 save percentage and 2.64 goasl against average.
Hofer has played 69 NHL games with the Blues.
St. Louis originally picked the Winnipeg native in the 4th round of the 2018 NHL Draft.
Hofer played 49 games over parts of two seasons with the Broncos and helped them to their 2018 WHL Championship.
He has also represented Canada at both the World Junior Championship and World Championship.
