As part of Weyburn Fair Days, the Weyburn Agricultural Society is gearing up for Canada Day favourite.

“So, July 1st, prior to the fireworks, we’ve been hosting a movie night,” said Lisa Vick, Office Manager for the Weyburn Agricultural Society. “The community voted and they have chosen Despicable Me 4. The doors open at Exhibition Hall at 7:15. You can bring your own chair, we will have some chairs and some turf provided if the kids want to sit on our turf in front of the screen and watch that.”

The movie night is $5 per person, with children 5 and under getting in for free. She added that they will once again be operating a canteen with drinks, popcorn, and candy for the full movie experience.

Immediately following the movie will be the annual Canada Day Fireworks, which are launched from the Agricultural Society grounds.

“You can come to the grounds, watch the movie in Exhibition Hall, pop outside, and you’ll have a fantastic view of the City fireworks display.”

The fireworks are scheduled to begin at dusk, or roughly 10:30 p.m. You can get full details on the City’s Canada Day Celebrations here.
