Carlyle RCMP are investigating a serious assault that left one man hospitalized early Saturday morning. 

Around 5:30 a.m. on June 28th, police responded to a report of an injured man who had arrived at a residence on White Bear First Nation seeking help. Investigators believe the man was the victim of a serious assault. He was transported to hospital with injuries described as serious. At this time, there is no update on his condition. 

As a result of the investigation, 21-year-old Darias Obey from White Bear First Nation has been charged with aggravated assault. A warrant has been issued for his arrest, and the Carlyle RCMP are actively working to locate him. 

Obey is described as approximately 6’4” and 210 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. 

Anyone who encounters Obey is advised not to approach him and contact Carlyle RCMP at 310-RCMP or submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
