Here is a look at just a few of the events taking place in and around Moose Jaw for Canada Day: 

ParkArt 

A record number of vendors will be taking part in ParkArt in Crescent Park starting at 10 a.m. 

Over 80 vendors will be selling their arts and crafts, making it the largest ParkArt event in its 49-year history. 

Vendors will be coming from across Saskatchewan as well as Alberta and Manitoba. 

Admission is $5 and free for children under 12. 

Miller Express Canada Day Bash 

The Moose Jaw Miller Express will be having their Canada Day Bash when they host the Swift Current 57s at 6 p.m. at Ross Wells Park. 

Moose Jaw will be wearing special Canada Day jerseys will be auctioned off so you can get your hands on a game-worn jersey. They will also be selling limited-edition Canada Day Miller Express hats, as well as other family fun, drink specials and some great baseball. 

Tickets can be purchased at www.millerexpress.ca, at the gate on game day or cash-only at Ultimate Fan Zone. 

Buffalo Pound Provincial Park Canada Day celebrations 

Celebrated Canada Day at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park.  

The following ia the event schedule: 

  • 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Fun in the Sun, lawn games, bubble station and Canada Day-themed tattoos. 
  • 11 a.m. to noon - Maple Leaf Sun Catcher Craft 
  • Noon - Cupcake treats will be available 
  • 1 to 2 p.m. - The Great Canadian Obstacle Course 
  • 2 to 3 p.m. - Canadian Flag Keychain Craft 
  • 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. - The True North Scavenger Hunt Race.

Celebrate Canada Day in Assiniboia 

Canada Day celebrations will be taking place at Assiniboia Centennial Park from noon to 5 p.m. It will be a day filled with food, fun and entertainment. 

Visitors can check out the petting zoo, car show, bouncy houses, axe throwing, carnival games and a magic show. 

Food trucks will be on-site and Canada Day cupcakes will be served at 2:30 p.m. courtesy of Southland Co-op. 

A fireworks display will take place at around 10:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds.

Canada Day Pancake Breakfast 

The Cosmo Seniors Centre will be hosting a Canada Day pancake breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. Pancakes, sausages, fruit and whipped cream, coffee and tea will be served. 

There will be live entertainment. Cost is $15 per person. 


NOTE: The Moose Jaw Police Service is reminding residents that the use of fireworks in prohibited within city limits without a permit.
