Dates have been set for the disciplinary hearing for former Moose Jaw Police Service Supt. Taylor Mickleborough.
According to the Ministry of Justice website, the matter between Mickleborough, the Chief of Police and the Moose Jaw Police Service is set for the following dates:
- July 23 to 25
- Aug. 27 to 29
- Oct. 7 to 10
- Oct. 20 to 24
The location for the hearing has yet to be determined.
On Oct. 2, 2024, the Moose Jaw Police Service confirmed that Mickleborough had been dismissed, but did not comment further on the nature of the dismissal or provide any details.
Now retired Chief of Police Rick Bourassa confirmed at an Oct. 9, 2024, Moose Jaw Board of Police Commissioners meeting that the high-ranking officer was dismissed under Section 60 of the Police Act, 1990, but did not go into any details.
Bourassa also confirmed that Mickleborough had appealed the dismissal to the Saskatchewan Police Commission.
According to the Saskatchewan Association of Police, Mickleborough had been a police officer since 2000 and had received a number of awards including a Police Exemplary Service award in 2021.
