More than 70 businesses, organizations, and individuals from Weyburn and the surrounding area brought their best floats forward this morning, making their way through the streets of Weyburn through the warm and sunny weather for the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce's 30th annual Summer Parade.
According to a press release from the Chamber, the judges had a difficult time determining the three Best Float winners before making their decision.
The Best Business Float award went to Parkway Lodge, the Best Organization Float was awarded to the Weyburn Free Methodist Church / Vacation Bible Camp, and the Best Individual Float was a most unusual spectacle for the annual event - the 2024 winner of the James Weir Peoples Choice, Will Kohanik, with his 'World’s Largest Sasquatch' float.

"The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce would like to thank everyone who entered the parade, the City Police for keeping the traffic diverted, the City of Weyburn staff for helping with barricades, signs, and street sweeping, and Access Communications for colour commentating. In addition, a big thank you to the hundreds of people who came out to see the parade and kick off Weyburn’s 2025 Weyburn Agricultural Society Fair and summer."
