Alberta Health Services (AHS) has lifted the water quality advisory for the Tim Horton Children’s Ranch swim pond, effective immediately.
The advisory, issued on June 26, 2025, was prompted by concerns over water quality in the Kananaskis-area pond within the Calgary Zone of AHS. AHS confirmed that fecal bacteria levels have returned to an acceptable level, and the health risk for recreational use is now considered low.
While the swimming pond is safe for use, AHS reminded visitors and residents that untreated water from any lake or reservoir should never be consumed or used for cooking.
