The Food Network is putting out a casting call for amateur chefs in Cochrane and the Calgary area. A brand new Canadian season of Come Dine With Me is set to film later this summer.

The reality cooking competition features five home cooks who each host a dinner party in their own home. After every meal, the contestants secretly rate each other. At the end of the week, the top score wins a cash prize and major bragging rights.

"We're looking for people who really take pride in throwing a great dinner party," says Heather Muir, the show’s casting director. "Whether you’ve got a signature dish or you just love hosting, this is your time to shine."

Applicants must be at least 19 years old and available for two full days and four evenings of filming sometime between August and October.

"This is our first season on Food Network Canada," says Muir. "It's a huge international format, especially well known in the UK, but this is a chance to make Canadian TV history."

The show is open to fun, food-loving people who aren’t afraid to be on camera and have a little fun with friendly competition.

“We ask for a few photos and a short 90-second video with your application,” says Muir.

“We want to know who you are, what you love to cook, and why you think you can win.”

Come Dine With Me Canada will air on Food Network and Citytv+ in 2025.
