The intersection of 3rd Avenue NW and Fairford Street is closing today as this year's Infrastructure Renewal Program enters week nine and work continues to make its way west. The intersection at 1st Avenue NW and Fairford has since reopened, however the 100 and 200 blocks of Fairford and the intersection at 2nd Avenue NW will remain closed until further notice.

The City notes that sidewalks and access to all area businesses are open to pedestrians during construction.

Work is also ongoing on the stretch of 4th Avenue SW from Duffield to Coteau Street W. The Coteau and 4th Avenue SW intersection is still closed but the Duffield Street intersection remains open to traffic.

Contractors are also continuing their work on 6th Avenue SW from Grandview to Coteau Street, and the Grandview and Duffield Street intersections are closed at this time.

Construction is underway on Coteau Street W from 4th Avenue SW to 5th Avenue SW and while the intersection at 4th Avenue SW is closed, traffic can still flow through the one at 5th Avenue SW until a later date.

Additionally, the Westmount route #4 bus stops on Duffield Street W at 5th and 4th Avenue SW remain closed this week, as are the east and westbound stops at Coteau Street W and 4th Avenue SW. Signage posted at those locations will direct transit users to the next closest available stop.
