Canadian Country Music superstar and icon Shania Twain had fans singing along and having a great time Saturday night at the Saddledome.
Twain launched into fan favourites and interacted with the crowd.
"She was pointing people out left, right and centre, and she actually did bring a very beautiful young lady on stage with her and had a wonderful chat."
Long-time fan Clare Nye, seeing her for the second time, had fifth row seats on the floor and says it was an unbelievable night.
"I couldn't believe it. It's wild to be able to see someone that close, that's for sure. It was really uplifting, actually. Right from the start of her opening act, the whole place was just abuzz."
Being so close, she was able to take a lot of close-up photos, but she also had a moment with the legendary performer.
"Well, there is a moment when I think anyone who's been on the floor before can attest to it... We did make eye contact, whether it was me or just the bright lights, it felt like she was only singing to me."
One of the things that did surprise the long-time fan was her athleticism.
"Oh goodness, Shania's high kicks, she can kick higher than I can. And to see her excitement was probably the highlight. It's always wonderful to watch a performer enjoy what they're doing, and I think Calgary really gave her a good time."

"She really is Canada's sweetheart. So, to watch someone as sweet as her sweetheart her way through the Calgary Stampede was definitely fun to watch."
The Calgary Stampede has over 100 acts this year.
