The balls didn't bounce in favour of the 18UAAA Red Sox as they went 1-3 this weekend against Regina opponents.

It was a busy weekend for the East Central 18UAAA Red Sox with two double headers, one at home and one away.

Saturday's matchups did not go the Red Sox way as they fell 5 - 3 and 15 - 3 to the Regina Athletics.

The opener was a largely defensive affair with only one Regina run on the board in the opening four innings. By the bottom of the seventh, the Red Sox had to dig out of a 5-run deficit, and they set themselves up to do so with loaded bases and a walk by Carter Britz to score. Jarret Rude punched a single to drive in a pair, but that's all the Sox could muster coming up short.

In the second game, the Red Sox faced early struggles, shut out until the bottom of the 6th inning and trying to right a 10-run shortfall in two innings.

On Sunday, The Sox split an away pair with the Regina Wolfpack, toppling them decisively with a 7-0 score. The Red Sox collected 11 hits in total, with Jarret Rude, Jacob Trann and Jaxon Schleper each collecting 2 and Pryor Dyck leading the way with 3 RBIs.

In the second game, with the tally even at 6 in the final inning, the Wolf Pack's Ethan Stubel singled to drive in the winning run to secure a 7-6 win for the Wolf Pack

The Saskatoon Giants are out in Muenster on Thursday for a matchup at 6:30.
