The Diamond Valley Fire Rescue has released their stats, showing how they have spent their time this year.
As of now, halfway through the year, they have responded to 255 calls, whereas all of 2024, they responded to 498 calls.
Of those 255 calls, 58 were for fires (22.7 per cent), 100 were medical (39.2 per cent), 36 were for rescue services (14.1 percent), and there were 61 calls for alarms and other calls (23.9 per cent).
In all of 2024, they had received 77 calls for fire (15.5 per cent), 241 calls for medical (48.4 per cent), 50 calls for rescue services (10 per cent), and 130 calls for alarms and other calls (26.1 per cent).
Much like last year, the majority of their calls have been in the Diamond Valley Jurisdiction, 123 (48.2 per cent of all call) this year compared to the 250 (51 per cent of all calls) in all of 2024.
This year, 116 calls (45.5 per cent of their calls) were for Foothills County, 8 were for Eden Valley, 6 were for Kananaskis, and 2 were for the Village of Longview, whereas that whole area received 248 in all of 2024.
