Two Selkirk men are facing a string of charges after RCMP executed separate search warrants as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the community.

On May 29, 2025, police searched a home on Morris Avenue, where they seized approximately 30 grams of cocaine, Canadian cash, prohibited weapons, and other evidence consistent with drug trafficking.

Cameron Hemminger, 54, of Selkirk, was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of prohibited devices while subject to two lifetime prohibition orders, and possession for the purpose of trafficking. He has since been released pending a future court date.

A second search was carried out on June 6, 2025, at a residence on McLean Avenue. Officers seized approximately 84 grams of cocaine, quantities of methamphetamine and suspected fentanyl, along with a collection of weapons and ammunition. Among them was a loaded firearm later confirmed to be prohibited and stolen.
