Temporary Closure of the CATPM – July 8–9, 2025
Media Release
The Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum (CATPM) will be temporarily closed to the public on Tuesday, July 8, and Wednesday, July 9, 2025, due to unexpected infrastructure work by Manitoba Hydro.
CATPM was informed of a scheduled upgrade to systems in the area, which directly impacts the Museum’s ability to operate and welcome visitors.
“We recognize this short-notice closure may disrupt travel plans and community visits, and we sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding,” said Stephen Hayter, Executive Director of the CATPM. “The work being done by Manitoba Hydro is essential, and we look forward to reopening with renewed energy—literally!”
The Museum will reopen to the public on Thursday, July 10 at 10:00 AM, with regular hours and programming resuming.
If you have any questions, you are encouraged to contact airmuseum@inetlink.ca or call 204-727-2444.
The CATPM is Canada’s only museum dedicated solely to preserving and interpreting the legacy of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan, is a designated National Historic Site of Canada and a Manitoba Signature Museum.
We thank all visitors, members, and supporters for their continued enthusiasm and understanding as we work together to preserve and share Canada’s aviation heritage.
