Rosebud Royals advance to National Championships

It was a perfect weekend for the Rosebud Royals as they ran the table at the 15U Open Fastpitch Boys Championship on the weekend in Saskatoon. 

The Royals claimed the 2025 provincial championship, defeating the Valley Blue Jays 3-2 in the championship final.  

On Friday, the Royals began the tournament defeating the Prince Albert Astros 11-7. They followed that up with an 11-0 win over Valley.  

On Saturday, they picked up an 18-7 win over the Parkland Wildcats and then beat the Treaty 4 Thunderstrikers 12-0.  

In the Championship round on Sunday, the Royals beat Parkland 15-0. 

Rosebud and Valley will both advance to the National Championships, in Winkler, Manitoba, from August 13-16.  

Rosebud is based out of Wadena.
