A 32-year-old woman from Sundre is facing multiple charges after a string of vehicle and credit card thefts in Airdrie.

Between June 26 and July 1, Airdrie RCMP responded to three stolen vehicle reports linked to locker break-ins at a local recreation centre. Car keys and credit cards were taken, with the cards later used fraudulently at various locations in the city.

On July 1 at 1:09 p.m., Airdrie RCMP were called to a landlord-tenant dispute, where they located Danielle Kelly. Police say they were able to identify Kelly as the suspect in the earlier theft investigations.

She was arrested and charged with 21 offences across six separate investigations, including:

  • Three counts of motor vehicle theft

  • One count of vehicle key theft

  • Four counts of unlawful credit card use

  • One count of credit card theft

  • One count of obstructing a police officer

  • Eight counts of breaching release conditions

  • Three counts of breaching probation

Kelly was also arrested on 48 outstanding Alberta warrants.

After a judicial interim hearing, Kelly was remanded into custody.
