The Winnipeg Sea Bears announced Monday that Tevian Jones has been released from the club to pursue other professional opportunities.

“The CEBL is a stepping-stone league, and we often see players come and go. We appreciate Tevian’s time with us in Winnipeg and wish him success in the next steps of his career,” said head coach and general manager Mike Taylor in a news release.

Jones played in 14 games for Winnipeg this season and the organization thanks him for his time and all the best in the future.

The Sea Bears now have an open import spot on the roster following Jones' departure. The team is actively exploring other option to bolster the lineup as the season winds down.

Winnipeg will be back on home court on July 17 against the Calgary Surge at 7 p.m.
