Stolen truck incident leads to high-speed flight and arrests.

In the early hours this morning (July 8), Lacombe Police received a report from a resident about the theft of his 2001 white Chevrolet Duramax truck from outside his home on Iron Wolf Boulevard.

A responding officer soon spotted a vehicle matching the description travelling at high speed through the city, reaching 120 km/h on Wolf Creek Drive.

Police discontinued the pursuit due to public safety concerns.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., the Camrose Police Service located the stolen truck and arrested two individuals found inside.

Both were taken into custody without incident, and the vehicle was recovered.

Lacombe Police say charges related to possession of stolen property are pending.

The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be shared as they become available.

The Lacombe Police Service thanked the Camrose Police Service and other partner agencies for their assistance and reminds the public to report any suspicious activity immediately.
