Transportation Camp
Kids ages 7–10 are invited to travel through time and explore Saskatchewan’s rich history. At Transportation Camp, campers will discover planes, trains, and automobiles through fun, hands-on activities.
With expert guidance and plenty of laughter, it’s a summer adventure full of learning and discovery. There is still time to register your child for the remaining days of the camp; you can do so by calling 306-693-5989.
Red River Cart Exhibit Opening
Since 2017, the Western Development Museum (WDM) Moose Jaw has partnered with the New Southern Plains Métis Local #160 (NSPML) to celebrate and share Métis culture. Together, they’ve created educational activities and now, thanks to NSPML volunteers, a full-size Red River cart replica will be on permanent display starting July 19.
Interpretive signage, developed with the Gabriel Dumont Institute, highlights the cart’s cultural significance. Join in for the Red River Cart Opening Ceremony at 2:00 p.m.— admission is by donation from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Gallery Pop-Up: Cinema Summer
Step into the spotlight at the WDM Moose Jaw as we explore Saskatchewan’s film history! Enjoy hands-on activities, games, and demonstrations that bring our cinematic past to life. Don’t miss the historical film artifacts on display in the 100 Years Gallery. It will only cost the price of museum admission and is free for WDM members.
