The Manitoba chapter of the Christian Motorcyclists Association is gearing up for a rally designed to share the love of Jesus with fellow motorcycle enthusiasts.
"The Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) started in the U.S. and basically taking our love for Jesus and our love for motorcycles and meshing them together," says Gregg Klassen, the Chapter President of Victory Riders, a part of the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA).
The group are guaranteed to meet once a month on the first Saturday to connect.
"We have an upcoming rally on July 25-27. On Friday at about 7 o'clock, we'll meet and hear a speaker for a short time. Then we'll have an ice cream social. On Saturday, the big day, in the morning we'll have a speaker on deck. Then at noon, we'll have bike games going on. If you've never seen them, come down and take a look."
The day will continue on with a motorbike ride. The group will meet back up for a dinner and then a time of fellowship.
"People see the crest on the back of our leather vests. Sometimes they'll see a whole bunch of us and ask, 'Hey, what's going on?' We've had people give us donations when we're stopped at a gas station. That's part of our mission, to wear the vest, that crest on your back is very important. Sometimes you pray with people."
The CMA motto is 'Changing the world one heart at a time.' Anyone interested in more details, whether connecting for the rally or getting more involved with Victory Riders can find info on their Facebook page.
