The Sylvan Lake Gulls return for story time at local library.
The Sylvan Lake Gulls are ready to tell a few stories and hit a home run for literacy.
The team returns for another year of Gulls Story Time at the Sylvan Lake Municipal Library on Thursday, July 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The event features baseball-themed story readings, a Q&A with players and coaches, photo opportunities, and a visit from Sully the Gully.
Corrie Brown, head programmer at the Sylvan Lake Municipal Library, says the event is a fun and meaningful way for the team and community to connect.
“The Gulls kind of help give back to the community and help us promote literacy,” Brown said. “It’s a fun time to meet some of your favourite athletes at the library.”
The event is drop-in, with no registration required and families are welcome to attend.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the library’s Little Free Pantry.
