The Moose Jaw Miller Express came from behind to defeat the Saskatoon Berries 9–8 on Tuesday night, snapping a four-game losing skid. 

Moose Jaw opened the scoring in the top of the first, with an Eduardo Saenz single to drive in Thomas Soto and William Edwards. However, Saskatoon responded with three runs in the bottom of the inning to take the lead. 

The Berries added two more runs in each of the second and third innings to extend their lead to 7–2. 

The Miller Express battled back in the top of the fifth. Saenz doubled to bring home Edwards and Austin Gurney, followed by a Gustavo Soto single that scored Saenz. Saskatoon responded with a single run in the bottom half to make it 8–5. 

Moose Jaw tied the game in the top of the sixth when Thomas Soto hit a three-run homer, driving in Edwards and Ben Waliczek. 

In the top of the seventh, Soto came through again with a single to score Gustavo Soto — the eventual game-winning run. 

Saskatoon Berries 4, Moose Jaw Miller Express 3 

On Monday night, the Miller Express’s losing streak reached four games with a 4–3 loss to the Berries. 

Moose Jaw jumped out to a 3–0 lead after three innings. Pacey Phillips scored on a Thomas Soto single, Waliczek crossed the plate on a passed ball, and Soto was driven in on a double by Gurney. 

However, Saskatoon chipped away at the lead, scoring single runs in the fifth, sixth, eighth and ninth innings to secure the win. 

The Miller Express return to action tonight when they host the Regina Red Sox at 7:05 p.m. at Ross Wells Park. 

In the East Division, Moose Jaw is starting to lose ground. They remain in fourth place, three and a half games back of Regina for third, and 13.5 games behind first-place Saskatoon.
