Summer roadwork—and closures—coming to Main Street next week

Roadwork impacting traffic on Main Street N and River Street will begin next week. 

The project will run from Monday, July 14 to Friday, July 18 and will take place on Main Street N from River to Manitoba Street. The City notes that sidewalks will remain open on both sides of Main Street, and the following intersections will be open to motorists:

• High Street will be open to east, west, and northbound traffic
• Manitoba Street will be open to east and westbound traffic

The intersection located at Main and River Street will be closed during the project.

Transit Route 4 - Westmount will detour the project site, but no bus stops will be impacted.

Contractors will begin resurfacing work on the alley west of Main Street N between River and Manitoba Street July 18, with an expected completion date of July 23, weather permitting.
