A former teacher at Springbank Community High School is facing additional charges as part of an ongoing investigation by Cochrane RCMP and the Southern Alberta Internet Child Exploitation Unit.
Timothy Bailey, 49, of Calgary, was first arrested in January after a female student reported inappropriate behaviour. He was initially charged with child luring, sexual exploitation, and making explicit material available to a minor.
RCMP continued their investigation over several months and, on July 8, Bailey was arrested again and charged with accessing child pornography, and possession of child pornography.

He was released following a Judicial Interim Release Hearing and is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Cochrane on Sept. 9.
Bailey is no longer employed with Rocky View Schools.
