The Regina Red Sox had two big innings to take down the Moose Jaw Miller Express 7–4 at Ross Wells Park on Wednesday night. 

Moose Jaw opened the scoring in the bottom of the first, with Austin Gurney scoring off a Tanner DeGrazia single. 

Innings two through five went scoreless before Regina put up four runs in the top of the sixth to make it 4–1. 

The Miller Express got back within one with a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth. Robert Estrada hit a solo home run, and Jackson Yeager hit a sacrifice fly to left field to score Eduardo Saenz. 

Moose Jaw gave up another big inning in the top of the seventh, with Regina driving in three runs to go ahead 7–3. 

The Miller Express rounded out the scoring in the bottom of the eighth, with Yeager hitting a sacrifice ground out to bring Saenz home. The ninth inning went scoreless, making the final 7–4. 

Sitting fourth in the East Division, Moose Jaw is now four and a half games back of Regina for third and five games ahead of the fifth-place Weyburn Beavers. 

The Miller Express head to Medicine Hat tonight to take on the Mavericks. 

Six Miller Express named to all-star team 

The Western Canadian Baseball League announced its all-star rosters on Thursday, with Moose Jaw sending three pitchers and three batters. 

Pitchers named to Team East include Rudy Guardiola, Nathan Pisio and Westin Walls. 

Guardiola has appeared in eight games, pitching 39 and one-third innings with 26 strikeouts and an ERA of 4.57. Pisio has taken the mound in 11 games, pitching 17 innings with 21 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.11. Walls has pitched 42 and one-third innings in 10 appearances, striking out 54 batters with an ERA of 7.86. 

Also making the all-star team are infielders Austin Gurney and Thomas Soto, and outfielder William Edwards. 

Gurney, a three-year veteran of the Miller Express, has played in 33 games this season. In 140 at-bats, he has 54 hits, 40 RBIs, two home runs and a batting average of .386. 

Soto, also in his third year with the club, has 40 hits in 131 at-bats over 33 games. He has two home runs, 18 RBIs and a batting average of .305. 

Edwards, in his first season with Moose Jaw, has 50 hits in 137 at-bats over 33 appearances. He has six home runs, 38 RBIs and a batting average of .365. 

The WCBL All-Star Game and Home Run Derby will take place Saturday, July 19, in Okotoks.
