A Penhold man has been arrested on a Canada-wide warrant after being found in possession of a stolen truck.

On July 3, Innisfail RCMP received a report of a stolen Ford F-350. Officers believed the vehicle had been taken by a known prolific offender, who was wanted for breaching parole conditions related to similar offences.

Police say the suspect has a history of fleeing from officers, creating dangerous situations for the public by driving and damaging property with stolen vehicles.

Due to the high-risk nature of the situation, Innisfail RCMP partnered with covert units from Red Deer and Central Alberta District based in Leduc.

Later that evening, covert officers located the stolen truck and followed it to the Dickson Dam area west of Innisfail. When the suspect exited the vehicle and approached one of the undercover officers asking to borrow a cellphone, he was arrested without incident.

Jordan Glasgow, 25, of Penhold, Alta., has been charged with:

  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000

  • Operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited

  • Failure to comply with probation

He was also arrested on a nation-wide warrant for being unlawfully at large.

Following a judicial interim release hearing, Glasgow was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer on July 18.
