Over 200 people were in attendance on Thursday evening for the Adventurers' Day Camp Family Dinner at Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church.
There was a dinner time for the families of campers, with programming sharing the highlights of the summer so far. In addition, there was a presentation for the "Campers of the Week", with a story Bible presented to both campers respectively.
Adventurers Day Camp ministry is the summer camp ministry of the Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church.
"Adventurers Day Camp is a ministry that is run out of WEFC, and we run a day camp that is five days of different outings and different chapel lessons," said Camp Director Makayla Wiebe.
During the week, campers get the opportunity to hear the Gospel and participate in Bible activities.
"We explain the Gospel in five different snapshots and present campers with opportunities to know and understand the Bible and who God is, better each day," continued Wiebe.
ADC is having a great impact on the families it's available to. This includes families of different backgrounds and WEFC families.
Mike and Lisa, a married couple from WEFC, had pleasant things to say about ADC and the difference it's making for their children.
Mike said, "I think it is a tremendous ministry to reach out to the community."
"He loves all the staff here; they've all been great with him and inclusive," said Lisa, about her child's experience.
They are enthusiastic for their younger child to have his first ADC experience later in the summer.
Thursday evening's dinner was an opportunity for families to gather and celebrate the amazing work God is doing through ADC to reach the community and share the Gospel with children.
