A 46 year old woman of no fixed address has been charged with several offences after an incident earlier this week in Altona.
Police received a call the morning of July 6th from a female youth who indicated, while seated in her car prior to church, an unknown woman approached the car screaming, and produced a knife. The victim locked the car doors, with the unknown female then walking toward a near by pedestrian, who entered the church. The female suspect kept walking away.
Altona Police located the suspect, determined she was known to police, and arrested her.
She has been charged with Assault with a Weapon, Resisting Arrest, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous Public Peace and two counts of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order.
She was remanded into custody in Winnipeg.
