The following is the RCMP report to June 23, 2025. This reporting period, police responded to the following calls for service.
- 55 traffic violations
- 25 provincial statute (Mental Health Act, Fire Prevention Act, Coroner's Act, 911 Act)
- 18 common police activities (alarms, suspicious persons/vehicles, assistance to general public)
- 20 crimes against property
- 14 other criminal code
- 9 crimes against person
- 3 traffic accidents
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
Just a reminder that RCMP DO NOT do child abuse and adult abuse registry checks. RCMP is responsible for criminal record checks and vulnerable sector checks. You require a vulnerable sector check if you are in a position of trust. You must present to the detachment when applying for a vulnerable sector check.
Position of Trust means a paid or voluntary position dealing with vulnerable people. Vulnerable people may include children, youth, the elderly, people with physical, developmental, emotional, social, or other disabilities, people who are addicted or dependent on addictive substances, and people who have been the victim of a crime or an accident.
Applicants who require a Vulnerable Sector Check from their organization must present themselves in person and provide written consent in order for the checks to be conducted.
Proper identification must be produced and recorded on the application: a government issued photo identification for the Primary Document, and a secondary document which verifies the Primary identification.
YOUTH CRIMINAL RECORD CHECKS
Criminal record checks cannot be done on youth unless working in Government. It has been established that non-provincially or municipally run summer camps and pools, public/private schools including colleges/universities are not government employers.
June 2, 2025
Police received a delayed report of theft in Deloraine. The complainant was reporting for information purposes only.
Police responded to a possible impaired driver on highway 10 in the Municipality of Boissevain-Morton. Police were able to locate the vehicle and the matter was unfounded.
Police received a report of fraud in Boissevain. The matter is under investigation.
Police responded to a traffic collision in the RM of Deloraine-Winchester. A female was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The matter is under investigation.
Police received a report from a third party of a possible stolen vehicle in Goodlands. The owner of the vehicle had not reported the vehicle stolen therefor there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
June 4, 2025
Police responded to a request for a wellbeing check in Killarney. All parties were located safe.
Police received a report of a dangerous driver in Holmfield. Police located the vehicle however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police responded to a call for a possibly impaired person that was passed out in a public washroom in Killarney. The person was gone on arrival. Police patrolled the area and located the male who was arrested and lodged in cells and released once sober.
Police responded to an open line 911 call in Holmfield. Upon arrival police spoke with the caller and determined it was a pocket dial and police were not required.
June 5, 2025
While patrolling, police conducted a traffic stop in the RM of Grassland. A roadside screening device was administered which resulted in 2 failed readings. An immediate roadside suspension was given to the driver prohibiting driving for 90 days and the vehicle was towed.
Police responded to a call for a break and enter in Deloraine. Police spoke with the complainant however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of uttering threats in the RM of Deloraine-Winchester. The complainant was reporting for information purposes and did not want members to follow up with the suspect at this time.
Police responded to a call under the mental health act in the Municipality of Boissevain-Morton.
Police received a report under the animal act of a possible animal left in a parked vehicle. Police were able to locate the vehicle. There was no animal left inside. The complainant and updated and the matter was concluded.
Police responded to a call for uttering threats in Cartwright. A male was intoxicated, arrested and lodged in cells. He was released without charges once sober.
June 6, 2025
Police received a report for harassment in the RM of Prairie Lakes. Police followed up with the complainant however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police responded to a call under the mental health act in Belmont.
Police received a report of harassing communications in Deloraine. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police responded to a call for a wellbeing check in Killarney. All parties were located safe.

Police received a report of a break and enter in the RM of Boissevain-Morton. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
June 8, 2025
Police responded to a call for an intoxicated person in Killarney. Police located and spoke to the person in question. They were escorted back to their room with no further issues. Police departed.
June 9, 2025
Police received a report of a break and enter in the RM of Deloraine-Winchester. Police followed up with the complainant however there was insufficient evidence to proceed at this time.
Police responded to a call under the mental health act in the Municipality of Boissevain-Morton.
Police received a report of an ongoing impaired operation of motor vehicle in Ninette. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of mischief in Deloraine. Police followed up with the complainant. The matter was unfounded.
June 10, 2025
Police responded to a call for failure to comply with a probation order. Police attended the residence and spoke with the parties in question. No conditions were being breached. Members followed up with the complainant and the matter was concluded.
June 11, 2025
Police responded to a call for a vehicle fire in Medora. Upon arrival, the fire department was on scene and had put the fire out. Police followed up with the vehicle owner and neighbouring detachments for possible information.
Police received a report of mischief to a motor vehicle in Belmont. The complainant was reporting for information purposes only.
June 12, 2025
Police responded to a 911 call for a motor vehicle collision in Killarney. There were no injuries. After further investigation, a male was arrested for dangerous driving and released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.

Police received a report of theft in Killarney. The matter is under investigation.
June 13, 2025
Police received a report under the family law act in Goodlands. The matter was concluded.
Police responded to a call for uttering threats in Holmfield. Both parties were spoken to, and it was determined no threats were actually made. The matter was unfounded.
Police received a report of harassing communications in the RM of Argyle. The matter was unfounded.
Police responded to a call for an alarm in Boissevain. Members determined it was a false alarm and departed. The matter was concluded.
June 14, 2025
Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle in the Municipality of Boissevain-Morton. Police attended, located the vehicle and the matter was concluded.
Police received a report of a theft of vehicle in Killarney. The vehicle was located burnt in a neighbouring detachment area. There was insufficient evidence to proceed at this time.
June 15, 2025
Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle on private property in Boissevain. Police advised the property owners they could tow the vehicle at the vehicle owners' expense.
Police responded to a call for uttering threats in Ninette. Police spoke with both parties involved. The complainant did not wish to proceed with charges therefor the matter was concluded.
Police responded to a call for being unlawfully at large at Boissevain Port of Entry. A male was arrested on two active warrants, lodged in cells and later released on a release order to appear in court.
Police responded to a request for a wellbeing check in the RM of Grassland. All parties were located safe.
June 16, 2025
Police received a report of harassing communications in Deloraine. The complainant declined to proceed any further at this time.
Police responded to a call under the 911 act for a hang up 911 call. Police were able to speak with the caller and determined 911 was dialed by accident and police were not required.
June 17, 2025
Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle in Killarney. Police patrolled the area and spoke with the owners. The vehicle was gone on arrival and owners did not believe anything had been taken. The matter was concluded.
Police received a report of fraud in Killarney. The complainant had received a phone call from someone claiming to be with the amazon fraud department and was directing the complainant to purchase bitcoin. Police spoke with the complainant however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of harassment in Belmont. Police followed up with the complainant and the matter was concluded.
Police received a report of theft of motor vehicle in Belmont. The vehicle was later located in a neighbouring detachment area. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of mischief in Killarney. Upon arrival, police spoke with the complainant who had spoke with the people involved and determined police were no longer required.
Police received a report of theft in Dunrea. The matter is currently under investigation.
June 18, 2025
Police received a report of a theft of truck in Pleasant Valley. The vehicle was later located however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police responded to a call for possession of stolen property in Boissevain. A male was arrested and remanded into custody.
Police received a report of fraud in Killarney. The complainant had received a call from someone claiming to be with amazon security stating their account had been compromised. No information was released. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police responded to a call for disturbing the peace in Killarney. Police spoke with the parties involved and the matter was concluded.
Police received a report of mischief in Killarney. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
June 19, 2025
Police received a report of a missing person in Deloraine. All parties were located safe.
Police responded to a call for an erratic driver in the RM of Killarney-Turtle Mountain. A male was arrested on multiple charges and released on an appearance notice to appear in court at a later date.
Police responded to a call for an abandoned vehicle in the RM of Killarney-Turtle Mountain. The vehicle was reported stolen from a neighbouring detachment. There was insufficient evidence to proceed and the vehicle was towed.
Police received a report of a suspicious person in the RM of Killarney-Turtle Mountain. Police followed up with the complainant who determined police were no longer needed.
Police received a report of mischief in the RM of Killarney-Turtle Mountain. The complainant was reporting for information purposes only.
Police received a report of theft in Killarney. After further investigation it was determined the theft was linked to another investigation where an arrest was made.
Police responded to a call for mischief in the RM of Cartwright-Roblin. Police spoke with all parties involved and the matter was concluded.

Police responded to a call under the 911 act in Killarney. Police spoke with both parties involved and the matter was concluded without charges.
June 21, 2025
Police responded to a call under the customs act at Lake Metigoshe. Police patrolled the area however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police responded to a hang up 911 call in the RM of Prairie Lakes. Police were able to speak with the caller that determined police were not needed at this time.
Police responded to a call for disturbing the peace in Ninette. Police spoke with the parties involved and the matter was concluded without charges.
June 22, 2025
Police responded to a call for uttering threats in the Municipality of Boissevain-Morton. After speaking with both parties, police determined no threats were made and there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a call under the customs act at the Boissevain Port of Entry. While responding police received an update that they were no longer required.

It is important to report ALL thefts, stolen or lost property to police in a timely fashion so that it can be followed up on by police.

Due to the many reports of vehicle thefts, the public is reminded to secure parked and unattended vehicles and refrain from leaving valuables in plain view.
