As the day grew hotter, the line grew longer for homemade ice cream at the Museum.
Categories

It goes without saying, the heat was hot on Saturday, but the sweet and silky homemade ice cream was cool and refreshing at the Humboldt and District Museum.

A goodly amount was already prepared for those in need of a tree, whether a single scoop, a double or the full sundae treatment.

Museum staff had a demonstration showing patrons the good old-fashioned hand crank apparatus that provided the chills back in the day. Also, there was a table of activities for kids and space to sit and visit while leisurely enjoying the purchases.

Don’t forget that the Museum is also offering Water Tower tours on weekends throughout the summer. Check out the true view from above with a tour. Contact the Museum staff for details on all its programming.
