Canada Post has confirmed the permanent closure of the Rosenfeld Post Office as of the end of day on Wednesday, July 9th.
The closure, according to Canada Post, comes after ongoing efforts to fill the vacant postmaster position were unsuccessful. The Crown corporation also said they were unable to find a local business willing to take on hosting the post office.
Notices were sent to Rosenfeld postal customers on July 3rd, with a follow-up reminder posted on July 10th about the upcoming change.

Where to go now
In the meantime, Rosenfeld residents will need to pick up their mail at the Altona Post Office, located at 2nd Avenue NE in Altona. The office is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
Canada Post says it is working with the Municipality of Rhineland to find a long-term solution to serve Rosenfeld customers locally. Updates will be shared when more information is available.
In a statement, Canada Post apologized for the inconvenience and thanked residents for their patience and understanding.
