A 46-year-old woman faces several charges after producing a knife in an Altona church parking lot last week.
On July 6, a female youth was sitting in her car before church was approached by an unknown woman screaming. The suspect then produced a knife. The victim locked the car doors and the suspect followed a nearby pedestrian.
The pedestrian entered the church and the suspect kept walk away.
The suspect was located by Altona Police and arrested. She was known to the authorities.
She has been charged with Assault with a Weapon, Resisting Arrest, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous Public Peace and two counts of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order.
She was remanded into custody in Winnipeg.
