Michael’s Coffee Shop & Bakery is bringing its popular Open Mic Night back to Woodlawn Regional Park this Thursday at 6 p.m. The event, held at the Binzebo near Mets Stadium, invites performers of all kinds to share music, readings, and more in a casual, community-focused setting.
Sam Ellis, Manager of the Estevan Michael's Coffee Shop & Bakery joined the SUN 102 Morning show to share some info about the open mic and invite everyone out.
“We had such a great mix last year... someone doing all Elvis songs. Betty McGillivray came and read from her book. And Charles came with his traditional Nigerian drum. And of course, we (Punch the Wind) play our fiddle tunes.” — Sam Ellis
